items disappearing? - Guild Wars Forums

I was on my ele and I put an amethyst aegis on my paragon hero.. a few seconds later the amesthyst aegis is gone.. any idea why my shield is now gone and is there anything I can do to get it back?

Sometimes the textures of the icons on certain items takes a while to load. So it will appear like an item is gone... but it will show up after a couple of seconds.

Happens ALL the time with my forgotten fan.

I have been putting my mouse over it and it doesn't even say it's there and I have been switching characters to see if it's there and it's still not appearing.

If you gave it to a hero it will not show up in your inventory (backpack, beltpouch, bags). Click <I> and then click on the hero and it should show up as an equipped item on the hero.

if your putting your mouse over the hero spot then im not sure...just plz tell me you werent OUTSIDE when u tried doing this...or else i fear you might've missed and dropped it outside lol...i've never heard of this before so its probably just a misplacement, no offense

well what i did was. that i got on warrior to get the shield off of him put it in storage then switched back over to my ele got the shield out of storage and put it on my general morgahn.. it shows the shield on him so i close out of my inventory. then i went to put a spear on him and it was gone. im not sure what happened but i dont have it anymore

and you've FULLY checked your INVENTORY and STORAGE?

as a Ranger i'd say you dbl clicked it by mistake and it's equipped with the bow.
maybe sold to the merchant while identifying stuff?

Did you put it on another hero? I once thought I npc'ed the new bow i bought my ranger, and spent the next half hour moaning on guild chat till I realized dunkaro was wielding the bow :P
